Vote for Snell Miller. He is competent, likes to work and says that when he is elected he will work for Uintah County all the time. He is a graduate from B.Y.U. where he completed the four-year commercial course and from the L.D.S. University where he took a special course in accounting. Since graduating, Mr. Miller has satisfactorily filled several business positions. He came to Ashley Valley about seven years ago and engaged in farming and stock raising. Later he entered the employ of the Consolidated Wagon and Machine Company where he did splendid work and made many friends. He will do the same in the County Treasurer's Office. Snell married Jennie McNeill on November 23, 1915. Jennie was born November 24, 1894 in Vernal, Utah, and died on September 22, 1986, in Hayward, California. Snell Miller died of a heart attack on November 01, 1955, in San Leandro, Alameda County, California.

Leon Newton died in August 1983 in Salina, Sevier County, Utah. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS WIFE'S OBITUARY: Nora J. Newton, age 95, passed away March 21, 1992 in Tremonton, Utah of causes incident to age. Born January 7, 1897 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Hans Peter and Hilda J. Jensen. Married Edgar Leon Newton June 11, 1917; solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple April 23, 1977. He died August 24, 1983. Nora was reared in Mt. Pleasant and Manti, she attended Wasatch Academy, and Brigham Young Academy in Logan. She taught school in Mountain Home, Utah. During her married life, she lived in Mona, Glenwood, Monroe, and Salina, Utah. She was a mother, homemaker and supporter of her husband and the schools where he taught. She was active in community affairs, literary clubs, and church. She taught in Primary, and Relief Society, filling calls in these areas. She loved playing bridge, working in her yard, and in earlier years, camping and fishing. She is survived by two sons, a daughter, and their spouses, Sammy and Myrra Newton, Bicknell; Riley and Lois Newton, Salt Lake City; Gary and Phyllis Sorenson, Tremonton. Preceded in death by a son, Edgar Mont Newton, and a daughter and son-in-law, Richard and Crystal Beth Fausett. Nora has 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services, March 24, 1992 in the Salina LDS Stake Center. Her interment, Mona City Cemetery, Mona, Utah. [Deseret News, Sunday, March 22, 1992.]

Nielson married twice: First, to Laverne M. Mortensen on March 31, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Laverne was born on November 3, 1882 in Manasa, Colorado. She died on November 21, 1918 in Ogden, Utah. Her interment, Ogden, Utah. Her parents were Peter Andrew Mortensen and Hanna Marie Smith Mortensen. ~ ~ P.A. Nielson second married Sarah Mae Ipson on May 7, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sarah Ipson Epperons McClay (married twice before) was born on November 1, 1881 in Harbine, Jefferson County, Nebraska. She died on December 26, 1960 in Ogden, Utah. Her interment, Ogden, Utah. Her parents were Peter Jeppe Ipson and Clara Ellen Dawson Ipson. ~ ~ ~ ~ Peter Agustin Nielson died on July 7, 1973 in Anaheim, California. His interment, Ogden, Utah.

She died on November 6, 1978. LeRoy Richens died on January 4, 1987, in Mesa, Arizona.
