He was surrounded by his wife and children, as well as his adoring grandchildren. David was born on September 29, 1945 in Payson, Utah to Mark and LaRee Adamson. Having three older sisters, he was the baby boy his family had waited so long for and was adored by them. He graduated from BY High School in Provo in the Class of 1963. He then attended BYU. He served as a missionary in the French East Mission, following which he married Linda Bowen Adamson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 5, 1968. He went on to attend dental school at Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, and practiced as a dentist in the Sandy area for many years. David was known for his energy, passion, and adventurous spirit. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities, his favorite being as Scout Leader. He loved to serve and mentor boys in all aspects of scouting and many today still recall the impact he had on their lives. He traveled extensively with his wife and children. His hobbies included scouting, hunting, fishing, flying, scuba diving, and spending time at his beloved ranch in Montana. It was there he most loved to be with his wife during the summers and enjoy the beautiful wildlife and nature that surrounded them. David is survived by his wife Linda and his five children: Greg (Elizabeth), Mindy (Michael), Andrew (Julie), Katie, and Kristie (Addison); 13 grandchildren; his sisters Dolores (Harold) Simons, Shirley Manwaring, and Carole Ziegler. One of the most enjoyable things about BYH was to run into classmates, brothers and sisters in the hallways all day long. It made it more of a family and friends school. Eating lunch out under the trees and around the beehive was memorable. Sliding down that long banister on the front steps at unsafe speeds was fun. Watching Jed Christensen do the twist in the carrels was fun. I felt sorry for the teachers in the carrels. They would rush around from carrel to carrel with a red flag up, only to discover an empty carrel appropriately flagged by a passing student. Of course, watching a teacher try to plug in the sound system from a ceiling outlet, because some student had pulled the plug, was also memorable. The meanest thing I recall was when we learned the seniors ahead of us, not our class, had broken a plant that Anna B. Hart read poetry to. I remember having what I considered the best seminary teachers in the Church. I was glad we were a small school. It let we students participate in things we were interested in. I enjoyed being on the debate team, being in plays, doing pantomine, extemporaneous speaking, etc. I always felt our student body probably had the best assembly of people with a future, who wanted to do good and be good. I am always surprised to hear about another one of us dying or facing serious health challenges. We are way too young to be accumulating such losses and challenges. I'm pleased that so many are doing so well and enjoying life as I am. God lives and loves each of us. Beck passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, while playing tennis, a game he dearly loved. David was born on May 30, 1945, Memorial Day, in Moscow, Idaho, the sixth of eight children born to Jay Vern and Fay Ellison Beck. In 1983, he married Necka Jean Pinotti, the love of his life; and, they were sealed in the Jordan River Temple in 1990. His early childhood years were spent in Moscow, Idaho, and State College, Pennsylvania, after which the family settled in Provo, Utah. He attended seventh grade in Sheffield, England, where his father served a sabbatical from his professorship at Brigham Young University. As a youngster, he excelled in French horn and tennis. In 1963 he graduated from Brigham Young University High School, and studied chemical engineering at Brigham Young University and at the University of Utah. He was a chemical engineer with DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware, with twelve years in Brazil. He then returned to the United States; and, at the time of his passing, was Chief Executive Officer of CycleSolv of Wilmington, Delaware. He was an avid tennis player and a member of the DuPont Country Club. He recently won the U.S. Tennis Association Senior League Championship. His life was marked by kindness and service to others, especially those who struggled. He enlisted in the National Guard where he served as a cook. A devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mr. Beck served as a missionary in the Brazilian South Mission between 1964 and 1966, where he gained a life-long love of the Brazilian people, to whom he returned often to visit. He has served as Elders Quorum President, High Councilor, bishop's counselor, and was in his fifth year as Bishop of the Christiana Ward at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Necka; father, Jay V. He then earned Bachelors and Masters degrees from BYU. Bruce served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1964 to 1966 in the Southwest Indian Mission, Navajo speaking. Bruce moved to Southern California and worked in the nursing home industry for 45 years. He also served the Church on High Councils, in Bishoprics, and in many other callings, most recently as a service missionary. Bruce was known for his passion for music as both an arranger and a performer. It was a true source of joy in his life. As an avid sports enthusiast he enjoyed playing racquetball and rooting for his favorite teams. Go Cougars! Go Dodgers! Go LA Lakers! (pre-LeBron) Bruce's unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ, stubborn nature, and steadfast resilience helped him to overcome the many challenges in his life with quiet humility. Married Jane. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS OBITUARY: Finn Vandborg Christensen died July 15, 2004, after a short battle with cancer. He was born March 7, 1945, in Esbjerg, Denmark, to Gunnar and Paula Christensen. He immigrated to the U.S. at the age of three with his parents and younger brother. During his youth, Finn learned to excel in every interest of his life, including checkers, football, baseball, track, and especially basketball. Finn attended BY High, leading the Wildcats to a state basketball championship in 1963 in his senior year, while receiving all-state honors. Finn was called to serve an LDS mission in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 1964 to 1966. He also served in the United States Army Reserve, being discharged in September 1968. Finn loved sports, hard work, reading, and crossword puzzles. He was very disciplined and thrived on conquering any challenge placed in his path. He found great pride and joy in the rewards of a job well done. While working in the bowling industry, Finn developed a deep passion for the sport. He later became owner of his own lane resurfacing company and part owner of several bowling establishments. He was an avid bowler, receiving many awards and accolades for his accomplishments. After two marriages, Finn married Jane, on October 8, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they enjoyed movies, animals, and traveling. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; his son, Jared (Kami); his three brothers: Ole, Roy, Paul (Lori); sister, Jane; step-mother, Afton; and brother-in-law, Ken (Lis). In Cupertino she was active in the local Boy Scout troop as Committee Chair. In San Luis Obispo she has been involved with the Botanical Garden, the Film Festival, the local NPR station. She held the job of President of Pacific Wildlife Care, a local wildlife rehabilitation organization, from 2013-2016, and she was a Board member of that organization from 2009-2017. In June of 2017 she was diagnosed with two kinds of cancer, and will be undergoing treatment through July of 2018, with remission of both expected. Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Brian Jan DeHart, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019, in Sandy, Utah. He was born on April 22, 1945, to Louis and Virginia DeHart in Provo, Utah. He spent his childhood years growing up on a farm in Payson, Utah. He later graduated from Brigham Young High School in the Class of 1963. He then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Holland. He met Marilyn Dawn Matthews while attending Brigham Young University. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity, on June 7, 1968. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and provided many fun and happy moments for them to be together. He served as an ordinance worker for over 18 years in the Jordan River Temple and considered it a great honor. In 2001 he and his wife started their own business, building and managing surgical centers for pediatric dentists. They ran it together, successfully, for many years. He was a hard worker whose dedication and service were an example to all who knew him. He loved adventure and enjoyed camping, jeeping, and white-water rafting. He had a creative mind and used it to build, design and create many projects around his home. His greatest project is a family retreat in Huntsville, Utah, where many happy weekends and holidays were spent with family and friends making precious memories that will be treasured forever. We love you Dad and you will be missed. Eckles Bradley was born in Provo, Utah. She attended Brigham Young High School, graduating in the Class of 1963. She then attended Brigham Young University. She was always very industrious, starting at a young age working at many different jobs to support her mother, including several management roles. She married her sweetheart, Bruce Dyer Bradley, and together they had three children. During their 46 years of marriage, they welcomed eight grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She taught them, nurtured them, and made every effort to cheer them on at their many performances and games—-rain or shine. Her love for children didn’t end there. She worked for several decades at Dilworth Elementary School as a computer lab teacher and testing administrator, where her kind and gentle teaching manner touched the lives of thousands of students. She lived and breathed service, whether in her volunteer capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or during the countless hours she spent crocheting many hundreds of hats and blankets for local hospitals and charities. Sharon had a great love for the holidays that she instilled in her entire family. This was often expressed through annual traditions that included pumpkin-carving parties, Easter egg hunts, and a year-long preparation for Christmas that ensured each child and grandchild received not one gift, but many, with every present reflecting Sharon’s thoughtful attention to each individual’s specific personality and interests. In the rare moments she wasn’t serving others, Sharon enjoyed driving her jeep with the top off and music blaring, watching British mysteries with her husband, and stopping to notice every beautiful moment of nature’s grace that she came across—hummingbirds were one of her favorites. She passed away October 11, 2018 after a brief but intense battle with cancer. In accordance with her long-standing instructions, a private graveside service is being held. Source.

Lived for a while in Beijing, China, where Corrin and Janice both taught at Tsinghua University. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Author: The Divine Principles of Mothering. Author Biography: I was born and reared in Utah except for brief periods in Nevada when my father’s career in ranching took us to that state. I graduated from Brigham Young High School in Provo. Before my sophomore year in college was completed, I had met and married my husband, Corrin, and we left for a semester of study abroad in Salzburg, Austria, followed by some European travel. After returning home my life became centered in our growing family and we eventually had 12 children, though one daughter died in infancy. I continued my education through those years in small ways as time and circumstances permitted and by the time all the children were in school I began to focus more intently in that endeavor. Fortunately, the family participated willingly in my efforts and even sealed and stamped hundreds of letters that went out in my first field research study. Getting Mom through school was a family affair. Over time I completed an Associates degree at Dixie College, a B.S. degree at Southern Utah State College, and a Master’s and Ph.D. from Brigham Young University. In later years I taught some classes at Mojave Community College, Brigham Young University, and Dixie State College. After Corrin’s retirement we taught in the China Teacher’s Program sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through the Kennedy Center at BYU, and enjoyed two separate years teaching in China’s universities. Presently, we live in northern Utah, where I research and write. The parallel experiences of continuing education, and the years of being an at-home mother, came together to make mothering my work and my passion and I continue to speak for and write about its divine importance in any way I can. Jordan. ~ ~ ~ ~ HER OBITUARY: Dallas, Oregon - Linda Hansen Jordan, 73, a resident of Dallas died Friday, April 19, 2019. She was born April 24, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah the second oldest daughter born to Betty Mae Kotter Hansen and Harold I. Hansen, raised in Provo. She attended Brigham Young High School, graduating in the Class of 1963. Linda then attended Brigham Young University in Theatre Arts, where she received a BA degree. She married Dale Arthur Jordan on August 4, 1969 in Salt Lake Temple. In August, they would have been married 50 years. For over 20 years, Linda taught and mentored children in the Dallas School District. She had a special gift to reach out, love, and lift those children with learning challenges. Her efforts will forever be remembered by her students. She loved spending time with family, especially at the coast where she loved to watch the waves and smell the ocean. She was a member of the Cooper Hollow Ward of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in Dallas, Oregon. She loved her family including her husband Dale, son Jess (Eralee) Jordan, treasured five grandchildren Jeran, Claire, Maren, Josey and Steen. Also surviving are sister Leslie (Robert) Brown, Betty (Bill) Gibbons, Patti (Craig) Phillips. Viewing was at 10 am, followed by the funeral service at 11 am, both on Tuesday, April 23rd in The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in Dallas. A graveside service will begin at 11 am Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo. The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family.
