Rosalee married Verd Singleton, and they have five children. Occupation, Housewife. Retired from the working world to enjoy children and home. Daughter of Ross C. Hilton, BYH faculty member. Rosalee Hilton Singleton and Verd Singleton had their first great- grandchild in January 2006, making Ross and Valeda Hilton Great- Great- Grandparents for the first time! ~ ~ ~ ~ SPECIAL NOTICE: Rosalee Hilton Singleton passed away after battling a long illness on February 26, 2010. She was married to Verd Singleton for 49 years and was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was able to see her 4th great-grandchild before her passing. She loved sewing, holidays and birthdays and never missed sending cards to her family. She loved her many friends and all the wonderful relationships she developed at BYH. She was always proud to be a Wildcat! ~ ~ ~ ~ HER OBITUARY: Rosalee Hilton Singleton, (April 16, 1942- February 26, 2010) was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ross C. Hilton [BYH Faculty] and Valeda S. Hilton. She attended schools in Hinckley, Provo, Logan, Tooele and graduated from BY High in Provo in 1960. She was a charter member of the Thespian Club, sang with the choir and with a sextet of friends. She played clarinet in the band, was the Art Manager, and a Student Council Member. She enjoyed music, art, reading, sewing and the beauty of their mountain retreat. She started working at the Barbizon right out of high school, and continued working in the sewing industry until her retirement. She married Elden Verd Singleton on February 5, 1961, in Ely Nevada. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They made their home in Benjamin, Utah. Rosalee created many beautiful blessing dresses and tuxedos for her grandchildren. She took pleasure in designing many fashions for her children and grandchildren. She adored her family and devoted her life to their happiness. She loved holidays and birthdays. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions: Young Women's President, Sunday School teacher, Nursery Leader, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. She especially enjoyed working with the youth. She is survived by her husband, five children; Virginia Lynn (Ginny) and Rod Jones, Ron and Stacey Singleton, Roger and Dianne Singleton, Scott and Alicia Singleton, Phil and Nan Singleton. Parents, Brothers; Glen (Kathy) and Raymond (Julie) Hilton, sister Jeanette (Cal) Nelson, 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at the Walker Mortuary (187 South Main) in Spanish Fork from 6 to 8 pm. on Friday March 5, 2010 and from 9:30-10:30 on Saturday at the Ward Chapel. He was born on November 2, 1941 in Brigham City, Utah to Andrew Burt Horsley and Faye McBride Horsley. He graduated from B.Y. High School in Provo, Utah in 1960, and served a mission to Germany for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has lived in California for the past twenty-five years where he received a Bachelor of Science degree and worked as a computer systems analyst. He is survived by his three children - Benjamin Burt Horsley (Heidi), Angela Faye Horsley Piggott (Richard), Jessica Patricia Horsley Nilson (Billy), and two brothers - Raymon Burt Horsley II, John Franklin Horsley, and two sisters - Christine Ann Horsley Ivers (Dewane), Linda Faye Horsley Cook (Doug). Dennis Frank Jones, age 78, died at home on February 2, 2021 of cancer. He was born October 27, 1942 in Logan, Utah to Frank Worley Jones, Jr. and Eileen Naylor Jones. He graduated from Brigham Young High School in Provo in the Class of 1960. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Following high school graduation, he served two years on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Gulf States Mission (Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, western Tennessee and south eastern Missouri). He also served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve. Honorably discharged in 1980. Dennis started his career working for Wells Fargo Bank as a commercial lending officer in San Francisco, California. He then moved to Denver to manage the investment portfolios for Western Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company and five related casualty companies. The last 40 years of his career was in investment banking putting together bond financings. His favorite clients were Safeway Stores, PGA Tour and Christian Living Communities. The majority of the latter part of his career was focused on bond financing of healthcare and affordable housing facilities. Dennis was recently appointed by Governor Polis to the Board of Directors of Colorado Health Facilities Authority. He has also served for 12 years on the Board of Directors of Christian Living Corp. and six years on the Board of Marycrest Assisted Living Corp. (three years as Chairman). He is survived by his wife, Rickie and his five children, Dr. Kristin Tarbet (Frank), Denice Allen (Craig), Bradley Dennis Jones (Lisa), McKenzie Jones (Anthony Smith) and stepson, Christopher Philipp. He has four grandchildren, Connor Tarbet, Jack & Lydia Jones and Ella Lynn Smith. He is also survived by his brother, Scott Worley Jones, his wife Shannon and their four children. The funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Centennial Ward Chapel at 1939 East Easter Avenue, Centennial, Colorado 80112 on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Reed died in 2003 [see website]. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS OBITUARY: Reed Lloyd, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, Reed died suddenly June 1, 2003 after complications from a motorcycle accident. He was the rock that held our families together; we will miss him greatly. He was the most quietly decent, generous, honorable man that we will have the privilege of knowing. He could fix anything, and we always expected him to remain in that position in all of our lives. His Harry Truman-esque humor, eternal boyish good looks and ability to laugh at himself will be sorely missed. Reed was born September 28, 1942 in Malad, Idaho, the youngest of three boys to Elmer and Orilla Lloyd. He graduated from Brigham Young High School in 1960, and from Brigham Young University in 1968. He was active in the Seattle banking community, most recently with The Commerce Bank. His tender love of his family, common sense, and quiet dignity will be examples for us to follow. Reed is survived by his wife, Melinda, his sons Chris (Rebecca) and Ryan (Jessie), his grandson Andrew, and his brothers Eldon (Mary Kay) and Ross (Alice). MS Special Education, University of Utah. Married David Allen, eleven children: six sons, five daughters. Kathy enjoyed being an elementary special education teacher in Page, Arizona, for a number of years. They have 13 grandchildren. Their children live in many places - from Vermont to California. Their youngest is still at home. They lived in a nice home near Lake Powell. @2005 ~ ~ ~ ~ Kathy and David (also BYH alum - Class of 1960 ~ Honorary) moved in 2011 to Leeds, Utah. They are both retired now. They have their youngest child at home, Davy Bob Allen (Down Syndrome, age 25 in 2013). @Aug 2013 ~ ~ ~ ~ HER HUSBAND'S OBITUARY: David Taylor Allen, age 77, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2020, in his sleep at his home in Leeds, Utah from ALS. He was born September 12, 1942 in New York City to Robert K and Elizabeth T Allen of Provo, Utah. He married Kathy Pritchett on her 20th birthday, December 25, 1961, at his parents' home in Provo, Utah. David grew up in Provo. He attended Brigham Young High School in 1957. He then went to Provo High, where he graduated in 1960 from Provo High. David was an entrepreneur. He began businesses including Allen-Ward Associates and a TV repair business in Provo, Allen's Camera, Sound and Music in Heber City, and Deseret Computer in Salt Lake City. He received a US Patent for the Sync generator he and his friend Ron Ward invented. David was brilliant and fun to talk to. He could (and did) fix almost anything and he had great faith in God and love for his family. He was always excited to show everyone the most recent thing he had invented, created, or fixed. He graduated in Business Management from Missouri State University in Joplin, Missouri. He most recently was employed by the LDS Facilities Management in Page, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Kathy of Leeds, Utah and their 11 children including: Heather Allen, of Boston, MA. Judy Done of Logan, Utah. Aaron Allen of Allentown, PA. Alma Allen of Mexico City, Mexico, Adam Allen of Draper, UT, Abraham Allen of Leeds, UT, Ruth Waddell of Syracuse, UT, Samuel Allen of Bountiful, UT, AnnMarie Gordon of Alpine, UT, Emily Berriochoa of Phoenix, AZ, and DavyBob Allen of Leeds, UT. David is grandfather to 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He loved his family. He is also survived by his brother, Robert E Allen of Salem, Utah and his sisters, Liz Sherlock of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jane Allen of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St, St. George, Utah.
