Dick was born on August 1, 1953 to parents Richard Lewis Larsen and Lois Fowlke Larsen, of Provo, Utah. Dick loved his family fiercely, spending most of his free time, and early retirement with his wife Maureen, his children, and his grandchildren. Dick was always up for an adventure, whether it be a roadtrip to visit family in Utah, taking his grandkids out fishing and kayaking, or venturing out to serve the orphans in Peru. Dick’s immense passion for service was a defining part of his personality, his heart was full of love, compassion and concern for his fellow man. After family and service, his biggest loves were genealogy, gardening and chocolate cake. Dick loved his work in the temple and on a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He put his whole heart into all that he did and will be greatly missed by many. Dick is survived by his wife Maureen; his children, Jess Larsen (Stephanie), Nick Larsen (Keshia), Meg Cano (Jorge), and Jill Daylong (Treavor); his grandchildren, Kyanne, Bridge, Olivia, Finley, Nixon, Rusty, Atreyu, Grey, Ziah, Piper, Javi, Aldo, and Hanks. Friends met with the family at the LDS – Raymond Stake Centre on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Raymond Stake Centre, 2 North – 200 West, Raymond, Alberta, Canada. Interment, Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta, Canada. In the past they lived in College Station, Texas where her husband has been a Business professor. Sandy and Malcolm then moved to Dubai, United Arab Emerates. Lettermans' Club 3, Boys' Organization 1-2, Football 2, Sophomore Secretary 1, Debate 2. ~ ~ ~ ~ He worked for 30 years for his father's company, the P.S. Larsen Company, then began working in security at Valley Bank in Salt Lake City. He retired to live in St. George, Utah. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS OBITUARY: Stephen L. Larsen - "Popi". Our beloved father and friend, Stephen L. Larsen, 83, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Salt Lake City of age-related illness. He was born in Provo, Utah on February 13, 1926, to Parley L. Larsen and Jane Bee Larsen. He attended Provo City schools, BYU High School (graduating in 1943), BYU, the University of Utah, and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He served in the Pacific Theatre in World War II on the aircraft carrier SS Franklin, a heavily damaged aircraft carrier, before joining his father in the mechanical contracting business. He married Ellen Ashworth; they were later divorced. He married Elsie Driggs, who later died. Stephen is survived by three children: Sara Jane Larsen Hofmann (George B.) of Sandy, Utah; Erik A. Larsen (Jane) of Trabuco Canyon, California; and Stephen A. Larsen (Cindy) of West Jordan, Utah. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Larsen Simmons and Marion Larsen Nelson of Provo, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brothers Paul W. Larsen and Dan Larsen preceded him in death. He was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed working on the Church's welfare farm, and participating in father-and-son campouts. He served twice as president of the Utah State Mechanical Contractors Association, and as owner of P.L. Larsen Mechanical Contractors, supervising the mechanical work on numerous buildings in the Intermountain area. These buildings included the original Salt Palace, Saint Mark's Hospital, and the Marriott Activity Center at BYU. Stephen, a charter member of the Riverside Country Club, was a low-handicap golfer and loved playing golf with family and friends. From an early age, he enjoyed skiing, fishing and duck hunting. He enthusiastically followed football and basketball at BYU. The family is grateful for the loving caregivers from the Sarah Daft Home, Golden Living Retirement, Sandy Regional Care, and Larry Dixon of the Veterans Admin. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 26, 2009, 12:00 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Teacher, BYU Laboratory School. ~ ~ ~ ~ HIS OBITUARY: Thomas Calvin Larsen passed to the next life on March 5, 2009, at home surrounded by his family 10 days prior to his 92nd birthday. He was born on March 15, 1917 in Pleasant Grove to George Washington Larsen and Martha Alice Adams Larsen. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and Brigham Young University. Tom worked as an educator throughout his career, beginning as a 4th Grade Teacher at Lehi Elementary, Teacher at the BYU Lab School, Elementary Principal at Alpine, Lindon, Grovecrest, and retiring at Central in 1982. He married Ella Adams on April 1, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple, then after her death August 5, 1961, he married Barbara Loveland on March 7, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in many callings in the LDS Church: missionary in the California Mission; counselor and bishop in the Grove Ward; Pleasant Grove Stake High Council; served a 2nd mission with his wife, Barbara, in the Missouri Independence Mission as directors of the Historic Liberty Jail Visitors Center. Tom served in the US Navy in the Pacific as a radar specialist. A lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove, he loved family activities; BYU theatre; growing and eating delicious raspberries, apples, peaches & pears; serving in the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos temples. Known for his keen sense of humor, he was a hard worker, served his family, and was a man of great faith. Survived by his wife Barbara, and his children: Sandra Larsen (Earl) Helm, T. Craig Larsen, Susan Larsen (Bob) Maxwell, Paul Larsen(Patricia), and 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, Nelda Larsen, a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruthann Larsen Nielsen, and by his siblings Orville Larsen, Cynthia Larsen, George Larsen, and Carlisle Larsen. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 1:30 pm in the Orchard Ward Chapel, 800 South, Locust Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009, from 6-8 pm in the Olpin Family Mortuary at 494 S 300 E, Pleasant Grove, and at the church one hour prior to services. Virginia Jane Larsen Simmons died of natural causes on June 23, 2015 in Highland, Utah. She was born November 26, 1920 in Provo, Utah to Parley and Jane (Bee) Larsen. Virginia grew up in Provo where she attended Franklin, Maeser and Brigham Young elementary schools plus Brigham Young and Dixon Junior High as well as Provo and BY High School. Virginia graduated in the BYHS Class of 1939. She also went to BYU for two years. She had many friends from the different schools she attended, as well as those at Vivian Park in Provo Canyon where her family spent the summer months at “the cabin”. Virginia married Paul A. Simmons on January 5, 1942 in the Manti LDS Temple. With him, due to his military service and employment, she lived in California, Massachusetts, Ohio, Virginia as well as Clearfield and Bountiful, Utah but mostly in her beloved Provo. She unselfishly served many. She was a volunteer at Utah Valley hospital and served in many church assignments in the LDS Church. She loved children and she and her husband financially contributed to many missionaries. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, loved the Lord and recognized His many blessings in her life. Virginia is survived by her children, Sue (Darrell) McCombs, Ann (David) Creer, Paul (Barbara), Daniel (Trudy), Sylvia (Mark) Jarman and Stephen (Becky) plus 28 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Jane; son, John; brothers, Paul, Dan and Stephen Larsen and sister, Marion Clark. As per her request, family and friends are invited to a graveside service to be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah. He was also employed by Ute Cab for fifteen years. He enjoyed reading and playing on the computer. Survived by loving daughter, Karma King; grandchild, Chase Dean Lee; sister, Lorraine (Wally) Borland; brothers, Kenneth (Hazel) King, Ray (Marlene) King; several nieces and nephews; and lots of friends who will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Dixie King Douglas; and brother, Clyde King. Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S.
